I finished the hot tub today. It is currently heating up. My son Tyler and his friend played in even though it was cold. They’re young, they can handle it, lol.

I got a little knitting done. I finished my sock and tried it on, only to discover that it was too tight. So I ripped it back, added some stitches, and am reknitting the ribbing. After this, I’ll know how much shaping to do for the calf and it will be easier.

I’m very tired and am sounding a little horse. Tyler went to a baseball game with his friend and Matt is working late. I started to watch Battlestar Galactica and knit but I was having trouble getting into the episode. So, I’m going to switch to Charmed.

Today was another busy day. The house that we rent has a hot tub. Ever since we moved here in December, I’ve been meaning to drain it and clean it so we could use it. However, I’ve been a little clueless as to how to go about doing it. So, today was finally the day. I got out the book and drained it. I went down the hill and bought the chemicals and a new bathing suit. Tomorrow, I’m going to clean the inside and refill it. I can hardly wait to enjoy it.

I didn’t get any knitting or crocheting done yet today. Tonight my husband and I are going to watch Battlestar Galactica Razor so I’ll do some knitting then.

Today was a pretty busy day. I had to go to Lake Arrowhead. I also went to the grocery and then I had a couple hours of shipping to do. So, I didn’t get much knitting or crocheting done.

I did, however, get a picture of Tia, our kitty:

She got herself caught in a plastic grocery bag. I untangled her after I took her picture.

For Mother’s day, I decided to teach myself to do filet crochet. I have a Leisure Arts pattern booklet #2088 that has 6 potholders. So yesterday, I did the first one:

I really enjoyed it. I didn’t have any trouble following the chart. My plan is to make each potholder in the booklet and then display them in my kitchen. I need to block it.

My son Tyler also lost a tooth today!!! Now if only the toothfairy will remember to come……

Happy Mother’s day to all mothers! My mother passed away 20 years ago but I do think about her a lot. She loved to crochet and I wish that she could see that I share her love for crochet too. I also wish that she could see her 2 beautiful grandchildren.

I finished Tyler’s spiderman afghan yesterday!!! Here are pictures:

I didn’t get much knitting or crocheting done today. One of my husband’s business associates came for dinner so I worked on cleaning up the house and cooking dinner. Everything went really well and we had a nice time.

My goal is to knit socks and lace this summer. I do have several projects that I want to get done so I am picking one and working on it until I’m done. Currently, I’m working on Tyler’s spiderman afghan. I am getting close on that one.

Today was a much better day. I felt better. I had some errands to run and then I gave myself permission to knit/crochet on whatever I felt like. So, I worked on Tyler’s spiderman afghan. I have about 10 more rounds on it and then it will be done. Unfortunately, each round takes a while.

I also worked on my first pair of fingering weight socks. I am close to being done on them.

I have had this desire to knit lace. Unfortunately, every time I try, I get frustrated and quit. So today, I went on a quest to find an easy lace shawl to knit. I came up with Faux spanish lace I have it started and so far so good. Summer is coming and I want to be able to knit something that isn’t too heavy.

The weather was kind of back and forth today. It would be sunny and then foggy and then sunny again. Here’s a view out my front door:

This is my latest design and I will start writing the pattern tomorrow.

Today was a pretty quiet day. I had some shipping to do and some errands to run so I didn’t get much knitting or crocheting done. I have a new design in progress and have some ideas for other designs.

Matt didn’t deliver the baby blanket today. He had to be at work early and teach todays suspension seminar. He’s planning on taking it tomorrow.

I finished the baby blanket on Saturday morning. I washed it and it will hopefully go to its new home on Monday.
